Introduction to compressed air systems and how to reduce operating costs by up to 25% through more effective production and use of air
This course introduces how the cost of operating a compressed air system can be reduced by up to 25% through more effective production and use of compressed air. Participants will learn how to:
1. Calculate the energy cost of compressed air in their facility
2. Improve compressed air system efficiency and reliability
3. Identify inappropriate uses of compressed air
4. Establish a baseline by which they can measure improvements in compressed air performance and efficiency
5. Match system supply to actual production requirements for pressure and flow
6. Find and fix leaks
7. Establish a leak prevention program
8. Better control compressed air to improve productivity and profitability
9. Get support from Mass Save on compressed air efficiency projects
Who should attend? Facilities engineers, plant managers, compressed air system operators and maintenance staff, air compressor vendors, industrial energy auditors, and energy efficiency program staff and vendors.
Registration is free for Massachusetts utility customers, Massachusetts energy professionals, businesses affiliated with Mass Save, and employees of the Sponsors of Mass Save. Others are welcome to attend, and after registering they will be billed $300 per person to be paid to Compressed Air Challenge.
