Resilient Lexington
Lexington is committed to being a sustainable and resilient community for all. In support of this commitment the Town of Lexington has a Sustainability and Resilience Department led by a Sustainability and Resilience Officer.
Resilient Lexington strives to:
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions,
- create cleaner indoor and outdoor environments, and
- ensure all members of our community have access to the tools they need to be resilient in a changing climate.
Citizens for Lexington Conservation
Citizens for Lexington Conservation was founded in 1967 to encourage the town to preserve valued parcels of open space as a public resource.
LPS Green Teams
LPS Green Teams is a grassroots alliance of parents, staff, and students representing all Lexington public schools who are passionate about promoting green practices of waste prevention and reduction in schools and the greater community.
Lexington Living Landscapes
Lexington Living Landscapes is a collaboration among Sustainable Lexington, Lexington Field and Garden Club, Lexington Climate Action Network, and Citizens for Lexington Conservation to promote, encourage, and support sustainable landscaping on private and public lands in Lexington.
Lex Zero Waste Collaborative
Lex Zero Waste Collaborative’s purpose is to educate the community about sustainable practices and expand access to sustainable consumption choices.
Sustainable Lexington Committee
Sustainable Lexington Committee is a Town committee appointed by the Select Board to enhance Lexington’s long-term sustainability and resilience in response to environmental resource and energy challenges.
