Come learn the basics of weaving while integrating some natural materials from the farm with expressive art therapist Marina Straus, adjunct faculty at Lesley University.
Discover how fun and exciting it is to see your fabric unfold as you explore the art of weaving. Participants will learn how to prepare the loom, weave the fabric using different stitches, finish with a project and learn how to take your weaving out of the loom. We will incorporate natural and found materials from the farm into our work as we go.
In this workshop you will learn plain weave, soumak stitch and rya knots.
You will enjoy the process and be able to take your unique weaving home!
