Savoring the Savings: A Look Back at Our Launch Event
Our “Dine and Learn” event was a wonderful success, with over 40 neighbors coming together to kick off the Lexington HeatSmart for Chinese Speakers program. This program seeks to enhance access to clean energy incentives by building cultural and linguistic bridges to Lexington residents of Chinese descent.
The evening featured a bilingual presentation in Mandarin and English led by Beibei Wang and Andy Joynt, supported by the wonderful video translation work of Chen Yang and Lucy Liu. The highlight of the night was the lively Q&A session, where residents shared stories and asked insightful questions about making their homes more comfortable and sustainable. Bilingual volunteers were on hand to provide interpretation between HeatSmart advisors and residents.
