Join LexZeroWaste with Cary Library at the Town Tent for a fun, beginner-friendly Mend-in-Public event at the Lexington Farmers’ Market on Tuesday, August 19. Members of the LexZeroWaste Textiles Working Group will be making zokin—Japanese-style cleaning cloths—by repurposing old fabric. Come learn a new skill and leave with the confidence to extend the life of your textiles! No experience needed, and all materials are provided. We will have a few chairs but feel free to bring your own if you want to sit and stitch with us. If you can’t stay, don’t worry! The group will have zokin kits for you to take-and-make at home (supplies are limited).
