The leaders of the communities that use MassEnergize tools convene once a month to learn about new strategies, topics, and support local engagement efforts. These local leaders are working in their towns, cities, schools, and houses of worship.
In February, Amanda Barker from the Green Energy Alliance
will share research exploring how emerging DER technologies could better serve LMI households and renters, including key barriers, opportunities, and equity considerations.
Amanda will introduce the emerging technologies being studied and then lead an interactive discussion to gather feedback that will help shape future program design and advocacy priorities. Technologies in scope include:
– Smart thermostats and Connected Solutions
– Residential battery storage (stand-alone and paired with solar)
– Batteries paired with induction stoves
– Window heat pumps and heat pumps with built-in batteries
– Plug-in balcony solar
