The focus for this quarter’s Multi-Town Gas Leaks Initiative meeting will be on the HEET Kickstart Studies program supporting 12 communities as they explored the feasibility of networked geothermal over the past year.
Kickstart was funded by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to assist in the development of a pipeline of networked geothermal sites. Participating communities looked at the technical feasibility of networked geothermal and engaged with stakeholders and the broader community on its potential benefits. At the meeting we’ll hear from HEET’s Gas-to-Geo Transition Director Angie Alberto-Escobar about key take-aways from the program and plans for next steps, and from representatives of the Salem feasibility study.
