Are you interested in staying active and building community? Consider being part of a new program called “LexWalkTogether” which will connect older adults with younger families and their students to form “Walking School Buses” which is just a fancy way of saying a group of people walking together to school in their neighborhood! The program is modeled on one that was started by older adults in Arlington, VA. They refer to their program as the “UsBus.” Lexington Senior Services and Lexington Transportation Services are working together on this program and aiming to have a first pilot this coming spring 2026.
