The Town of Lexington invites community members to participate in a public meeting about the Town’s climate and community resilience strategies. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 6:30–8:00 pm in the Community Room at the Lexington Police Department (1575 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02420). A Zoom option will also be available for those who cannot attend in person. If you plan to join virtually, please register in advance.

This public meeting is an opportunity for the community to learn about and provide input on the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) update and its Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) 2.0 project—two efforts that help shape the Town’s near- and long-term climate and community resilience strategies. Community input is essential to ensure these plans reflect local priorities, so all are welcome to share their experiences and perspectives.

The project team will present the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan for public review, findings from recent MVP 2.0 community engagement activities, and the proposed updates to the Town’s resilience priorities. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the updated resilience priorities and brainstorm ideas for a state-funded “seed project”—a small, community‑informed project that will advance the Town’s resilience priorities.

If you have any questions, please contact Maggie Peard, Lexington’s Sustainability & Resilience Officer, at [email protected] or 781-698-4538.
