Heather will talk about keeping your trees resilient through challenging changes in weather. Learn what techniques are available to prune trees to withstand windthrow and snow and ice loads, as well as techniques for preventing insect and diseases and creating longevity for your most prized trees.

Heather is SavATree’s Market Leader in Bloomfield. Before this, she was City Forester for the City of Hartford. She believes in educating the public on the importance of trees, climate change, and proper arboricultural practices. She has worked hard to encourage decision makers to see trees as a necessity, especially regarding budgeting and planning. Seeing firsthand the social injustices in a city relating to tree canopy gives her a vantage from which she can bring everyone together to come up with solutions. Her knowledge in plant health care and strategic arboricultural pruning practices for what trees need during the changing climate has been very beneficial to the public and private sector throughout the state. Heather studied Urban and Community Forestry at Unity College in Maine, is a licensed arborist in Connecticut and with the International Society of Arboriculture.
