Improving transit systems helps secure safer, healthier, more affordable, and better connected communities. What that actually looks like depends on a number of different factors: climate, geography, funding, and political contexts. Fortunately, states have a broad array of legislative and executive policy options to improve transit access and investment tailored to their unique state and local circumstances. These policies span transportation governance, state funding and budgeting, project planning and permitting, and land use reforms.
We’re convening a panel of experts to explore the numerous state policy options available to improve our transit system. Our speakers include:
– Emmett Hopkins, Transportation and Mining Policy Manager at the Climate and Community Institute
– Miguel Moravec, Campaign Manager for the Clean RIDES Network
