Kyle Murray, Director of State Program Implementation at the Acadia Center, draw on Acadia’s recent publications surrounding decarbonization policy in Massachusetts to address questions that many of us are often asked – for example:
– “Will the grid be able to accommodate all these new heat pumps?”
– “What’s happening with energy prices? And is there anything we can do right now about them?”
– “What’s likely to happen with heat pump rates – and when will heating with heat pumps be cheaper than heating with gas?”
The Building Electrification Accelerator (BEA) brings together the Massachusetts building electrification community. They work with local leaders focused on equitable building electrification and provide support obtaining funding, partnerships, and resources. They work to strengthen connections and information-sharing between municipalities, technical specialists, and nonprofit partners to advance local building electrification.
