Come see Aimee Powelka, Manager of Decarbonization Analytics at the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs speak at the BEA September Retrofits Working Group. Aimee is leading the development of a statewide model of buildings, working with Introba, MIT’s Sustainable Design Lab, and the Applied Economics Clinic. This model will explore ways to reduce emissions from buildings and will look at data by neighborhood to find opportunities for electrification, considering equity, environmental justice, and socioeconomic characteristics. The model will inform the 2035 Clean Energy and Climate Plan and support meeting the state’s 2035 and 2050 greenhouse gas emission limits. Link to join.
