As part of Boston’s Climate Week, please join us virtually next Thursday, May 7, from 11:00 to 12:00 for an overview of the electric grid today and what’s next as the state invests in modernizing the electric grid. Meg Howard, Senior Program Director of the Net Zero Grid team at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), will review how the electric grid has traditionally worked and how new solutions like distributed energy resources, load flexibility, and grid modernization investments are changing the grid. The session will include time for questions and discussion.

Please register for the Monthly Exchange using this Zoom link if you have not registered previously.

The BEA Monthly Exchange merges the Retrofits Working Group and Quarterly Meetings, recognizing the overlap between those meetings and their evolution into a forum for learning about best practices and sharing ideas. The Monthly Exchange:

– Supports a peer learning community that encourages shared problem-solving and support

– Provides timely resources and information to help communities take effective action

– Prioritizes strategies that support residents most impacted by high energy costs

Every fourth meeting will be dedicated to direct sharing of community updates and resources. We look forward to your ongoing participation.
