Celebrate the colors of the farm in this hands-on, family-friendly workshop exploring the beauty of plant-based color. We’ll use marigolds grown on the farm to dye our own socks! Then, we’ll head into the fields to learn which flowers and leaves are best for flower pounding onto fabric. You’ll gather your own materials and make a one-of-a-kind textile recording the colors on the farm. Perfect for ages 4-14. Ages 4-10 need a parent to stay with them in class, and ages 10-14 may attend solo if an adult stays close by on the farm. Each child participant will take home their very own hand-dyed pair of socks! Please bring headphones if you or your child are sound sensitive.
