If you’ve ever been interested in winter sowing your own native plants, collecting seed can be a fun and inexpensive way to start. Join us to learn about collecting, cleaning, and storing some of your own native seeds to plant this winter. First, take a short walk around the farm to view LexFarm’s native plant restoration areas and observe any remaining seed heads. Then spend time inside learning about best practices and handling of different types of seeds. Participants will be able to take home some seeds to plant this winter.
