Discover Edible Foods and Medicinal Plants All Around You!
Join naturalist Emily Carvalho for a guided walking tour through the Lexington Community Farm to learn about some commonly known and not so commonly known edible plants found on the farm and beyond.
This walk is ideal for those who are new to foraging and are interested in learning how to safely and sustainably forage in an urban-suburban landscape. From common weeds such as pineapple weed to the berries of the chokeberry, we will discuss the culinary uses and medicinal properties of these wild foods and end the walk with foraged snacks and refreshments crafted by Emily.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a water bottle.
Walking tour will kickoff at the LexFarm parking lot.
