Born out of electric industry restructuring, the Restructuring Roundtable has been meeting four to six times per year since 1995 to discuss current and emerging topics related to revolutionary changes in the electric power industry in New England and throughout the Northeast. In recent years, attendance at their hybrid Roundtables averages over 475, with attendees joining both in-person and virtually and representing a broad cross-section of regional stakeholders. Participants include policymakers, regulators, utilities, developers, clean energy and technology companies, environmental organizations, and consumer advocates.
Dr. Jonathan Raab, President of Raab Associates, is the founder and convenor of the Roundtable. Since 2023, Janet Gail Besser, an independent consultant, has been moderating the Roundtable along with Jonathan. Together, they are responsible for developing the agenda, securing speakers, and moderating the Roundtable discussions. Senior Associate Susan Rivo manages the Roundtable logistics. The Roundtable is hosted and supported by the law firm Foley Hoag LLP and funded by over 60 participating sponsors.
