Transit Explorers: Grade 6-12

When

December 6, 2024
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where

Lexington Community Center
39 Marrett Road, Lexington

The Transit Explorer series will help youth in 6th-12th grade learn how to get around via Lexpress and our local MBTA buses. Learning how to ride transit can increase access and independence! These transportation services can help you get to/from a range of activities such as school, after-school programs, summer programs, part-time jobs, volunteering, recreation and more! With a Limitless Lexpress Pass and a Student CharlieCard, it’s also quite affordable!

Once we’ve covered the basics, the class will take a ride on Lexpress (and MBTA, schedule allowing). We will explore different places in the community, and will either stop for a treat along our journey or enjoy light refreshments in the Community Center. Class starts and ends at the Lexington Community Center.

Optional: Get a Lexpress Limitless Pass by bringing $20 or buying online. Online purchases can be mailed to your home or picked up at the Community Center. Visit www.Lexpress.us for more details.

Please note: Student CharlieCards, which offer half price fares on MBTA, must be acquired through your student’s school. Homeschooled students may apply directly through the MBTA.
