DESCRIPTION:First Parish Lexington Climate Action Team is co-hosting "The P
 lastic Detox” at the Venue May 5th\, 7pm with discussion to follow. The 
 lead is Beyond Plastic Greater Boston (Eileen Ryan)\, since they have the 
 right to show the film. Eileen Ryan and Bridget Lee\, MD\, will therefore 
 lead the discussion. In addition to Beyond Plastic Greater Boston and Firs
 t Parish Lexington Climate Action Team (CAT)\, it is co-hosted by Lexingto
 n Climate Action Network (LexCAN)\, LexZeroWaste\, Lexington Public School
 s Green Teams and the Lexington Venue. This is a free event\, but there wi
 ll be a basket for 'Free Will' donation to the Lexington Venue.\n\nSynopsi
 s: Released globally on Netflix on March 16\, 2026\, The Plastic Detox rev
 eals the startling effects plastics and toxic chemicals have on our bodies
  and health. This new documentary helps to reframe the global plastic prob
 lem — a core driver of fossil fuel demand — as an urgent public health
  issue.\nPlastic isn’t just a pollution issue. It’s personal. Micropla
 stics and toxic chemicals are in our brains\, our blood\, and our unborn c
 hildren – with health risks linked to rising rates of chronic illnesses 
 like cancer. This chemical exposure is harming millions of people’s fert
 ility and stealing their right to a family. Our bodies are no place for pl
 astic.\n\nWe hope you will attend the screening of this groundbreaking fil
 m on Tuesday\, May 5th at The Venue in Lexington. Following the film there
