 hrive.\n\nDavid L. Wagner is a professor of ecology and evolutionary biolo
 gy at the University of Connecticut with core research interests in butter
 flies and moths\, insect decline\, and invertebrate conservation. Dr. Wagn
 er received a B.S. in plant science from Colorado State University and a P
 h.D. in entomology from the University of California\, Berkeley.\n\nDr. Wa
 gner’s most recent book\, Moths of the World: A Natural History\, releas
 ed in 2025\, and Caterpillars of Eastern North America: A Guide to Identif
 ication and Natural History (Princeton) have cemented his reputation as a 
 leading expert in his field.\n\n\n\n\n
