  intensively with perennials and how to manage naturalistic perennial plan
 ting.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBen O’Brien is a gardener\, landscape desig
 ner\, and the owner of Wild by Design. He creates artfully crafted\, richl
 y planted\, and lovingly tended naturalistic gardens inspired by the lands
 cape of Prince Edward County in Ontario\, where he lives and works.\n\nBen
  is a passionate young plantsman and progressive planting designer bringin
 g the best of the new perennial movement to Canada. He has conducted thoro
 ugh experiments and trials using a variety of growing media including grav
 el\, sand and construction waste to assess perennial behavior and longevit
 y for both public and private projects. He speaks and writes widely on his
  work and has always been at the forefront of design and ecology.\n\n\n\n\
