 y Retrofit of Historic Apartments in Boston ($45 Fee)
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE FOR $45\n\nOriginally built in 1888 as two-story 
 duplex apartments\, and renovated in 2003\, these units are being redesign
 ed and updated through a comprehensive Deep Energy Retrofit (DER) of the b
 uildings' exterior envelopes. This project is intended to serve as a demo\
 , showing the benefits of passive house guided retrofits that can be done 
 with minimal resident disruption.\n\nThe event will begin with an opening 
 workshop where the team will discuss the history\, goals\, and design and 
 construction strategies. Attendees will then break into small groups to to
 ur the facility while hearing more from the interdisciplinary team of expe
 rts who made the building possible. After the tour\, You'll regroup for a 
 reception and Q&amp\;A\, giving attendees the opportunity to chat with the
  day’s speakers and each other. At a time when affordable and healthy ho
 using is desperately needed\, this tour hopes to inspire through the demon
 stration of thoughtful and innovative building techniques.
