SUMMARY:Newton Conservators Event: Bioblitz: Learn About Local Plants
DESCRIPTION:Learn to identify the many species of plants and animals inhabi
 ting Newton’s parks and conservation areas. Join Zach Shein\, an experie
 nced botanist and habitat restoration professional\, for a BioBlitz! Zach 
 will survey and discuss plants\, and we’ll post our observations to the 
 iNaturalist app. Participants do not need to be experts. Families are welc
 ome.\n\nDownload the free iNaturalist app to your phone beforehand from th
 e Apple App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android. The numero
 us observations of Newton’s parks in iNaturalist can be found online at
  https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/newton-ma-conservation-areas-parks-
 survey. Participants should wear long pants and sturdy shoes. A steady rai
 n will cancel the walks.\n\nMeet at the Vine Street entrance to Saw Mill B
 rook Conservation Area\, (opposite 5 Hollywood Drive). Extra parking is on
