SUMMARY:NEEP Webinar: Tackling Energy Efficiency in Naturally Occurring Aff
 ordable Housing
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\nAcross the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic\, natura
lly occurring affordable housing (NOAH) properties are a critical componen
t of the multifamily housing sector\, yet they often are not served by inc
ome-qualifying energy efficiency programs. NOAH properties are affordable
because of their age and condition rather than participation in formal hou
sing subsidy programs\, resulting in distinct challenges for housing prese
rvation\, retrofit finance\, and program implementation.\n\nWe will discus
s key barriers in the sector\, including owner capacity\, predevelopment f
unding\, fragmented financing resources\, and the need to protect tenants
from rent or utility bill increases. The presentation will highlight emerg
ing strategies to overcome these barriers as part of energy efficiency inv
estments\, including end-to-end technical assistance\, program and resourc
e coordination\, streamlined program eligibility\, and tenant protections.
 \n\nThis session is designed for program administrators\, policymakers\, u
tilities\, program implementors\, affordable housing stakeholders and othe
rs working to advance energy efficiency and preserve access to affordable
 multifamily housing.
