 u’re looking for something unique or a more sustainable way to wrap\, Fu
 roshiki wrapping is a great option.\n\nFuroshiki (風呂敷) is a square p
 iece of cloth that has traditionally been used for wrapping gifts in Japan
 . It’s not only for gift wrapping but is also commonly used for carrying
  items instead of bags. Since it’s fabric\, there’s no need to tear or
  throw it away after receiving a Furoshiki-wrapped gift. So\, how will you
  use it?\n\nDuring this workshop\, you'll learn basic gift wrapping with F
 uroshiki\, along with other practical methods you can use in your daily li
 fe. Share them with your recipients to keep things sustainable!\n\nIf you'
 d like to follow along\, please have on hand a 4x5 inch rectangular box an
 d a Furoshiki bandana or lightweight bandana fabric (20x20 inch/50x50 cm).
 \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout the instructor:\n\nSayako Hiroi is a visual artist sp
 ecializing in abstract paintings and kintsugi\, a traditional Japanese tec
 hnique for restoring broken pottery. Born in Japan and currently based in
  the United States\, she earned a Master of Fine Arts from the School of t
 he Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPresen
 ted in partnership with Munroe Center for the Arts and Lexington Zero Wast
 e Collaborative (LexZeroWaste).\n\n\n
