DESCRIPTION:VIRTUAL: REGISTER\n\nKate Schapira\, author of Lessons from the
  Climate Anxiety Counseling Booth: How to Live with Care and Purpose in an
  Endangered World\, will share methods for living with our emotional respo
 nses to climate realities and using them as guides to connection and actio
 n. In her home town of Providence\, RI\, Schapira put up a booth to talk a
 bout climate change with concerned and anxious members of her community. T
 housands of conversations later\, she distills what she's learned into a b
 ook that offers both empathy and practical suggestions for addressing clim
 ate change with the help of others. This talk will focus on identifying an
 d activating the potential for increasing each other's ability to contribu
 te to a livable present and future in our working and community lives. Sch
 apira will be joined by members of Lexington Climate Action Network\, who 
 can offer concrete ways to work and care for the living world in the Lexin
