SUMMARY:Greentown Labs Event: Addressing the Built Environment: How Massach
usetts Leads through Accessibility\, Affordability\, and Innovation at Sca
 le
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\nImproving the energy efficiency\, resiliency\
, and emissions performance of the built environment is critical to Massac
husetts achieving its climate goals. With more than 36% of emissions attr
ibuted to buildings—and nearly 70% in the City of Boston— the challen
ge is comparable in scale to transportation. Addressing it will require co
ordinated action across the private and public sectors.\nAcross Massach
usetts\, communities\, institutions\, and industry leaders are working to
translate climate ambition into practical solutions. But key questions rem
ain: How are communities tackling this challenge? What solutions are trul
y accessible and affordable? And which innovations can scale across buildi
ngs\, campuses\, and municipalities?\nThis Boston Climate Week panel br
ings together leaders from across the building performance\, energy planni
ng\, and infrastructure ecosystem to explore how Massachusetts continues t
 o lead by example.\nThe conversation will highlight:\n\n\n \nAdvanc
ed building diagnostics and data-driven insights that help identify effic
iency opportunities at scale\n\n \nHigh-performance building design an
 d envelope innovation that improves durability\, comfort\, and long-term
performance\n\n \nMunicipal and institutional energy strategies that
help communities plan and implement decarbonization pathways\n\n \nFin
ancing and service models that make efficiency and resilience solutions m
ore accessible and affordable\n\n \nData-driven energy planning approa
ches that help communities understand their energy systems\, evaluate tra
deoffs\, and identify practical pathways for efficiency\, electrification\
, and resilience\n\n\nTogether\, the panel will explore how innovation\
, policy\, and collaboration are enabling Massachusetts to move beyond pil
ot projects and toward scalable\, real-world deployment of solutions acro
ss the built environment.\nJoin us for an engaging discussion followed
by a networking reception with leaders across the climatetech\, building s
 cience\, municipal\, and energy sectors.
