Save Money and Prevent Waste with a Costume Swap
Costumes, like textiles, can’t be thrown in the trash. And why would you anyway, when someone else might be able to use it?
LexZeroWaste is partnering with LexFun to host the 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Swap! Last year, they facilitated 300 costumes being reused! With your help, they hope to exceed that number this year.
There are bins to collect costume donations at the Community Center or Hayden Recreation Center. You can also bring a costume to the event to swap.
On October 4, visit the East Village Fair to trade up for costumes (that fit better or are just more interesting!). Save some money and have fun choosing a new costume for Halloween. All are welcome to participate: you can swap OR shop for free!
