SUMMARY:Community Forum: Waste Reduction and Modernization Program
DESCRIPTION:The Town of Lexington is moving forward with plans to modernize
  our waste collection system to reduce waste and protect us from rising co
 sts. We need input from the community to help design an updated waste coll
 ection program that will work for all residents.\n\nJoin the Waste Reducti
 on Task Force for a presentation that will explain why changes to our wast
 e management system are needed\, and what kind of changes are being consid
 ered. Topics include:\n\n- Expanding food waste diversion\n\n- Moving to a
 utomated collection with standard bin sizes\n\n- Addressing excess waste\n
 \n- Implementing a more equitable bulky item fee structure\n\n- Creating m
 ore accessible diversion opportunities\n\nThere will be opportunities to a
