SUMMARY:Comment on National Grid's Proposal to raise Gas Distribution Rates
DESCRIPTION:The Department will be conducting an in-person public hearing t
 o receive comments on the petition from National Grid for an increase in g
 as base distribution rates. Additional information regarding National Grid
 ’s proposal and bill impacts for different service areas may be found be
 low. The proposed rates are suspended while the Department conducts its re
 view of National Grid’s petition.\n\nThe Department will hold eight publ
 ic hearings to receive comments on the Company’s filing.\n\nThe sixth pu
 blic hearing will take place on Thursday\, April 9\, 2026\, at 7:00 p.m. a
 t the Acton Town Hall auditorium\, 472 Main Street\, Acton\, Massachusetts
  01720. The hearing will be conducted in English\, Mandarin\, and Haitian
  Creole. To request interpretation and/or translation in an additional lan
 guage\, please email Kaylee Burgess at dpu.ej@mass.gov by Thursday\, A
 pril 2\, 2026.\n\nAny person interested in commenting on this matter may s
 ubmit written comments no later than the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on 
 Thursday\, April 30\, 2026. Written comments from the public may be sent
