DESCRIPTION:Citizens for Lexington Conservation (CLC) is pleased to announc
 e that Dr. Jeff Howry\, landscape archeologist and Lexington historian\, w
 ill be the 2026 Annual Meeting speaker.\n\nJoin Jeff in a historical explo
 ration of Willard's Woods\, one of Lexington's most popular conservation p
 arcels. The area presents many examples of how our New England landscape w
 as shaped by nature and occupied by humans. The virtual tour will show par
 ticipants many of the features of the 100 acres that tell stories of what 
 has happened there over the past 12\,000 years. Participants will particul
 arly come to appreciate the historic landscape and what it tells us about 
 our colonial forebearers'\; lives.\n\nDr. Jeff Howry is a landscape archae
 ologist whose research covers both New England and southwest Asia. In both
  regions\, he combines social history with remote-sensing imagery to revea
 l features that indicate land use and patterns of human occupation.\n\nThe
  meeting is open to the public. Please join us. Light refreshments will be
  served using compostable paper goods!\n\nIn addition to our speaker\, The
 re will be a VERY brief Annual Meeting.
