SUMMARY:Bike Rodeo (Grades K-8)
DESCRIPTION:A Bike Rodeo is a fun\, hands-on way to learn how to handle a b
 ike safely through a variety of different stations and an obstacle course.
 \n\nParticipants will have helmets and bikes checked for proper fit\, main
 tenance and safety\, followed by brief group instruction\, practicing thei
 r bike handling and safety knowledge. Participants will earn a Certificate
  of Achievement at the end and take home a goody bag. This is a short\, fu
 n event with many bike education related stations.\n\nParticipants should 
 bring a rideable bike\, wear close-toed shoes\, and have a helmet. Free he
 lmets will be available in case your child needs one.\n\nExpect to spend a
 bout one hour at the Rodeo. (We sign people up in 30 minute segments for t
 raffic-flow purposes). You will check-in\, then visit all the stations\, t
 hen proceed to the obstacle course\, before checking out and getting your 
 Certificate and goody bag. The obstacle course portion is about 30 minutes
  long\, and completing all the other stations may take 30+ minutes dependi
 ng on how much time you spend at each (helmet fit\, bike fit\, bike mainte
 nance check\, helmet decorating\, hand signals\, road safety\, etc.). Pare
 nts/guardians must stay on-site with their children during this event and 
 are encouraged to check out each station! Register here.
